Subscriptions and Permissions

Personal and institutional subscriptions to The London Journal can be taken out through our publisher, Taylor and Francis.

Subscriptions can be made for online only access, or for online access and printed copies. An annual subscription includes copies of the three issues of the Journal published each year, plus access to the Journal’s archive.

Terms of Publication
The copyright of all content published in the Journal is granted to The London Journal Trust. Authors are free to re-use their work in later work, as long as the Journal is acknowledged, and that 12 months have elapsed since the issue in which the piece appeared was published.

Authors are required to certify that their article or review is entirely their own work, and that the material contained within them is new and has not, either wholly or substantially, been previously published elsewhere.

It is the author’s responsibility to obtain permission to quote material from other copyright sources and to reproduce any images or illustrations. Authors also bear any costs pertaining to reproduction permissions and/or the purchase of acceptable print-quality digital versions, although authors can apply for help with these costs by contacting the Managing Editor in the first instance. Any permissions to reproduce must cover both the electronic and print versions of the Journal, and would normally be uploaded with the original submission.

Open Access
Authors are able to publish open access in The London Journal, details of which can be found here.

In addition, authors may make the text of their accepted article available on their institution's digital repository and/or on their personal website (‘green open access’). This text must not be the laid out, Taylor and Francis-published version, and instead would be the final accepted text of the article (in a Word document or PDF) before the article went to press. Any queries about permissions should be directed to the Managing Editor in the first instance.
